Future-Past is a hi-fi analog recording studio in New York. Dedicated to exceptional audio, professional engineering, and excellence in musical performance, Future-Past is a home base for many of today's most innovative classical, experimental, and rock performers. Housed in an historic nineteenth-century church, the studio features a collection of rare, specialized recording equipment, specially suited to the acoustics of the main hall. Our enormous live room is ideal for capturing live performance in any style, able to accommodate anything from a full orchestra to a quartet, rock band, or soloist. The studio environment is private, focused, and supportive, with a rigorous commitment to excellence at all levels of the production process.
Future-Past is musician owned and operated. We care about the projects we work on, and often see a record through from pre-production to mastering, hands on all the way. Services include production, recording, mixing, mastering for vinyl and digital, arranging, orchestration, and rehearsal/workshop space.
